Fall 2012 Photo Shoot

Debuting the HootyCutie Designs Fall 2012 clothing line! The Honey Pie Collection

That's right it finally (almost) here. I am so excited to share this photo shoot with you all. The amazingly wonderful Mesa Cole captured some unbelievable shots! It was a crazy 2 hours, but boy did it pay off.

First up is the Peacock Parade Top and Meringue Jeans. My heart skips a beat every time I see the photo in the top right! I just love this captured moment. Really these photos might be my absolute favorite from the whole shoot. But back to the clothes... The fabric in this top is what inspired me to create a fall line. It is just so unbelievable wonderful! And the Meringue pants are the perfect compliment to this super fun top. (Named meringue because the ruffles at the bottom remind of a meringue pie...hehe)

Next one is for the boys. The Harvest Custard Argyle Tee and the Hot Cocoa Convertible Pants. I am so happy with the way this argyle thermal turned out. I love me some argyle. You might remember a little sneak peak of a washing machine filled with turmeric dye. Well this is what I was creating. And oh those pants. I am a sucker for wader length pants on boys and these adorable pants don't disappoint (especially on my handsome little model!). And what little guy doesn't love bicycles?

And this my dears is the Marmalade Dress. Yum, Yum! Chevron and big bows... it doesn't get better than that! You know your little one just has to have this dress for Thanksgiving.

How I love this fabric. I have been eyeing it for over a year. And I've finally found the perfect use for it. This is the Flea Market Peasant Top and the Apple Pie Rufflers. I am even more in love with these ruffle leggings that I ever imagined I would be. Oh the ruffles! You little one is going to live in these all fall and winter... and spring too!

And I love the Brownie-Goose Sailor pattern so much, I just couldn't resist doing them for fall too. So I got some delectable corduroy fabric and created the Cotton Candy Sailor Cords. This color combination was kind of an accident, but I am so in love with it. Hot Pink, Lime, and shades of grey... who knew? The Feather Mousse Top (I know the name sucks... I ran out of fall desserts... deal with it) is the perfect match to these fun shorts. And did you get a load of that incredible necklace?! All the necklaces were created by the amazing Ericka of Daizy Bugz Desings.

Oh how I love these pants. If I had a little boy, he would have a closet full of these. The yummy green cords, the yellow plaid, the red buttons, the hand embroiderer pockets... swoon! This have some major rocker quality to them, so the a justly named the Apple Green Rocker Pants. And the perfect shirt to go with the perfect pants... the Mustard Seed Pocket Tee.

And rounding out the line, we have the Peach Cobbler Tunic and the Butterscotch Bells. By the way, how adorable are these picture so J? It only took two hours, but the very patient Mesa and I finally got her to smile! I love, love, love that she captured her doing the motions to her favorite songs. It makes me so happy to look at the captured moments! But back to the clothes (again)... I love the unique coral/pink color of this polka dot fabric, and the grey floral is so sweet. And oh those bell bottoms. Yes that is yummy yellow rick-rac on the hem!

And because they are too awesome not to share, here are some of the other shoots captured at the shoot:
Brother and sister love. How great are those smiles!

A huge thank you to the amazing Mesa Cole Photography for her patience, time and incredible photos. Another huge thank you to all my little models. And a final huge thank you to Ericka of Daizy Bugz Designs for creating these unbelievable matching bubble gum necklaces. You can order one from her to match your little one's HCD outfit from her Etsy shop.

The Honey Pie Collection will be available from my Etsy shop starting the evening of Wednesday September 19th. Look out for another blog post tomorrow morning for details on sizing.

  1. I absolutely A.D.O.R.E. the Flea market peasant top and Apple Pie Rufflers! They are definitely first on my list to get from this collection. The Daisy Bugs necklace just takes it to the next level. Next is the Marmalade dress, both of those are just right for my little girl. Hopefully, I can pick up a few things at the Fall Market :-)
